i dreamt last night
that you walked by my place
singing
and rang my buzzer
laughing
and when i rushed to answer the door
you were no longer there.

i dreamt this morning
that we shared each other limbs
and i wasn't quite sure
where you stopped and where
i began, only you spoke
and i woke up happy, to see you smiling.

i dreamt this afternoon
that you walked by my place
stood at the entrance way
ringing the bell, and
when gone unanswered, you wandered
and surrounded the premises
with sad, futile hopes of a broken window
or a torn out screen

you thought of footsteps

and rushed to my door
finding yourself
stumbled upon rememberance
finding yourself, missing
songs of unstrained melody
with a sigh to bring apollo to his knees
and you to your toes
with shoes untied, and
laces like fingers shaking

you see her now.

scattered pieces, of
shot-out sunshine.
